My Ipad Pro Pencil Is Not Working. Check the battery icon on the iPad when you plug it into your computer. Now move your Pencil closer to the iPad and wait until you see the Pencil in the available devices.
Download and install any updates that are available. Connect your Apple Pencil in to your iPad and tap the Pair button when it appears after a few seconds. If it has a lightning bolt on it to denote charging or it says Not Charging next to it then you know the port and the cable.

Place the Apple Pencil on the wide side of the iPad Pro with the magnetic strip. If your Apple Pencil is not working as expected check your iPad or iPad Pro is updated to the latest software. Press and release the Volume Down button. Go to Settings Bluetooth and make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.
